Remote code execution via unrestricted ZIP extraction
Published Oct 17, 2023 · Updated Sep 13, 2024
Arbitrary file upload in ajax_link.php in LyLme lylme_spage 1.7.0 allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted POST request. The update handler accepts a data URI in the file field as a remote ZIP package and passes its contents to zipExtract, which writes attacker-selected PHP files into the web root without restricting decompressed file types. Direct use requires an administrator session; the published authentication-bypass chain removes that gate and enables PHP web-shell execution.
