Unauthenticated customer impersonation via missing session checks
Published Oct 31, 2023 · Updated Sep 5, 2024
Authentication bypass in idnovate superuser 2.3.5 through 2.4.1 allows remote attackers to impersonate any PrestaShop customer. SuperUserSetuserModuleFrontController:init() creates a customer session link without first verifying an active back-office session for the customer's shop. No authentication or user interaction is required; the resulting customer access exposes account data and stored payment details available to that account.
