CVE-2023-45866Public exploit

Command execution via unauthenticated Bluetooth HID pairing

Published Dec 8, 2023 · Updated Nov 4, 2025

Authentication bypass in BlueZ Bluetooth HID hosts allows physically proximate attackers to inject keystrokes without user approval. The input profile accepts encrypted HID control and interrupt connections from non-bonded peripheral devices because ClassicBondedOnly was disabled by default. The host must be discoverable and connectable; injected input can execute commands that do not require a password or biometric approval.
