Improper certificate validation in the Hot Rod client allows man-in-the-middle attackers to read or alter TLS-protected traffic. The client accepts a trusted certificate without comparing its identity to the requested server hostname. Exploitation requires a network position that can intercept the TLS connection and a certificate trusted by the client, exposing confidentiality and integrity but not availability.
