Remote code execution in Perforce Software Helix Core before 2023.2 allows remote attackers to execute commands through the server RPC service. The user-bgtask RPC handler accepts an unauthenticated caller's command line and launches it under the Helix Core Server service account. The path is reachable when protections have not been initialized; on the documented default Windows service installation, commands run as LocalSystem.
