CVE-2023-45799Known exploitationNetwork attack vector

Remote code execution via unauthorized file distribution

Published Oct 30, 2023 · Updated Sep 6, 2024

Improper permission validation in MLsoft TCO!stream 8.0.22.1115 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary files. The always-running client command process accepts a file-distribution command over the server channel without adequately validating the sender's permission, then downloads and runs the supplied file. Access sufficient to submit a distribution command is required; successful exploitation grants code execution on managed endpoints, and observed attacks installed backdoors across multiple PCs.
