Authenticated privilege escalation via request replay
Published Nov 14, 2023 · Updated Dec 16, 2025
Capture-replay in affected Siemens Mendix Runtime releases allows remote authenticated users to bypass application authorization. Siemens identifies the locus as Mendix Runtime and the mechanism as capture-replay, but does not disclose which request handler accepts replayed requests or which validation is missing. Exposure is limited to Runtime 7 before 7.23.37, Runtime 8 before 8.18.27, Runtime 9 before 9.24.10, and Runtime 10 before 10.4.0 when the app model and access-control design permit replay; successful attacks can read or modify objects or elevate privileges within that app.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
