CVE-2023-45793

Unauthorized object modification via access-group validation failure

Published Mar 12, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Incorrect authorization in Siemens Siveillance Control 2.8 through 3.1.0 allows local users to gain unauthorized object write access. The authorization path fails to validate the access-group list assigned to an individual user before allowing object operations. A locally logged-on low-privileged user can modify objects otherwise limited to read access, without reported data disclosure or service interruption.
