Stored script execution via unsafe admin settings
Published Dec 26, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored XSS in GROWI before 3.5.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through the App and Markdown Settings pages. Public advisories identify the affected admin pages but do not disclose which setting accepts unsafe input or how stored values evade output neutralization. Exploitation requires authenticated access to store content and a later page visit, exposing the visitor's session data and rendered content.
