CVE-2023-45735Network attack vector

Stored XSS via rendered SNMPv3 router setting

Published Feb 6, 2024 · Updated Aug 19, 2024

Stored XSS in Westermo Lynx devices running WeOS 4.12.1 and later or WeOS 5 through 5.20.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript. The WebGUI stores attacker-supplied JavaScript in the SNMPv3 router setting and executes it when that setting is later displayed. An administrator account is required to plant the payload, and a legitimate user's visit to the affected WebGUI section triggers client-side access to or manipulation of device data.
