Authenticated service interruption via malformed archive upload
Published Dec 20, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Denial of service in HCL DevOps Deploy 7.0 through 7.3.2.2 allows remote authenticated users to exhaust resources via archive upload. The archive-upload path inadequately validates a submitted archive before processing it, allowing crafted content to consume excessive resources; HCL has not disclosed the exact parser or validation error. A low-privileged authenticated account and a crafted archive are required, and successful exploitation interrupts service without reported data disclosure or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=7.0 - 7.0.5.18, 7.1 - 7.1.2.14, 7.2 - 7.2.3.7, 7.3 - 7.3.2.2
