CVE-2023-45685Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Arbitrary file write via unchecked archive paths

Published Oct 16, 2023 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Path traversal in Titan MFT Server and Titan SFTP Server 2.0.17.2298 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to write files anywhere. Automatic ZIP extraction accepts archive entry names containing parent-directory sequences and writes them outside the account home directory. The feature must be enabled and the account must permit uploads; a crafted archive can overwrite privileged files and lead to host code execution.
