Client-side script execution via unescaped camera names
Published Oct 30, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Reflected XSS in Frigate before 0.13.0-beta3 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript in an authenticated user's browser. The recording_clip request handler inserts an unescaped camera_name route value into an HTML error response when clip creation fails. Reachability requires a network-exposed instance, knowledge of its address, and an authenticated user who follows a crafted link.
