Unauthenticated service interruption via PAPI requests
Published Nov 14, 2023 · Updated Aug 30, 2024
Denial of service in affected HPE Aruba Access Points allows remote attackers to interrupt operation through PAPI Wi-Fi Uplink requests. The vendor identifies the Wi-Fi Uplink service as the locus but has not disclosed how it mishandles a crafted PAPI request. No authentication or user interaction is required; affected branch ceilings are ArubaOS 10.4.0.2 and 10.5.0.0 and InstantOS 8.6.0.22, 8.10.0.8, and 8.11.1.2, with interruption limited to the targeted access point.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
