Unauthenticated privileged code execution via PAPI packet
Published Nov 14, 2023 · Updated Aug 30, 2024
Buffer overflow in the AirWave client service on affected Aruba access points allows remote attackers to execute privileged code via UDP port 8211. The service copies data from specially crafted PAPI packets without adequately checking the destination buffer size. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful exploitation executes arbitrary code as a privileged operating-system user.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
