CVE-2023-45614Network attack vector

Unauthenticated privileged code execution via PAPI buffer overflow

Published Nov 14, 2023 · Updated Aug 14, 2024

Buffer overflow in affected HPE Aruba InstantOS and ArubaOS 10 releases allows remote attackers to execute privileged code. The CLI service mishandles specially crafted PAPI packets received on UDP port 8211, overflowing a buffer during protocol processing. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful exploitation runs arbitrary code as a privileged operating-system user.
