Improper certificate validation in JetBrains Ktor before 2.3.5 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to read or modify HTTPS traffic. JetBrains states that server certificates were not verified but has not disclosed the affected client engine, code locus, or failed validation operation. Exploitation requires an affected application to initiate a TLS connection across an attacker-controlled network path, exposing the connection's confidentiality and integrity.
