Remote code execution via wanid stack overflow
Published Oct 16, 2023 · Updated Sep 18, 2024
Stack overflow in D-Link DI-7000G V2-series firmware allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through a crafted wanid value. Public records identify the H5/speedlimit.data handler and wanid parameter but do not disclose the exact unsafe memory-copy operation. Network access to the affected endpoint is sufficient; no authentication or user interaction is required, and code executes in the appliance context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=0 <=v.23.08.23e1
