Admin-session script execution via unescaped stylesheet name
Published Nov 6, 2023 · Updated Sep 5, 2024
Stored XSS in the MyBB Admin CP Themes module before 1.8.37 allows remote authenticated users to inject HTML through a stylesheet name. The stylesheet-name field stores attacker-supplied markup and renders it without neutralization in the theme-management interface. Admin CP theme privileges are required, and the payload executes when another administrator opens the affected interface.
