Stored HTML injection via unescaped leave comments
Published Oct 16, 2023 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Stored HTML injection in Jorani Leave Management System 1.0.3 allows remote authenticated users to alter leave-request page content. The List of Leave requests view renders a persisted comment as HTML instead of encoding markup characters before inserting the value into the page. A valid account and access to a leave request are required; injected links or other markup appear when the comment is viewed, without established server-side code execution.
