Unauthenticated command execution via unvalidated ntpServIP input
Published Oct 13, 2023 · Updated Sep 17, 2024
OS command injection in Netis N3 Firmware 1.0.1.865 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via the ntpServIP setting. The Time Settings handler accepts the ntpServIP value without sufficient input validation and passes injected shell syntax for operating-system command processing. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation grants control of the router.
