Unauthenticated command execution via unsanitized WPS parameter
Published Oct 13, 2023 · Updated Sep 18, 2024
OS command injection in Netis Systems N3 Firmware 1.0.1.865 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute commands through WPS settings. The WPS settings path accepts the pin_host parameter without sufficient validation and processes attacker-supplied shell syntax as operating-system commands. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation grants control of the router with the firmware process's privileges.
