CVE-2023-45464Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Service interruption via unchecked servDomain length

Published Oct 13, 2023 · Updated Sep 18, 2024

Buffer overflow in Netis N3Mv2 firmware 1.0.1.865 allows remote attackers to make the router unresponsive via crafted servDomain input. The firmware processes the servDomain field without enforcing a safe input length, allowing supplied data to overrun its destination buffer. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation interrupts routing and network availability rather than disclosing or changing data.
