Unauthenticated database compromise via unescaped search parameters
Published Oct 17, 2023 · Updated Sep 13, 2024
SQL injection in MyPresta.eu Product Extra Tabs Pro before 2.2.8 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary database queries. The module’s AJAX endpoint passes attacker-controlled search values to searchcategory(), searchproduct(), and searchmanufacturer(), which concatenate them into SQL LIKE clauses without pSQL escaping. No authentication or module activation is required; exploitation can read or alter shop data, gain administrative access, and deploy a payment-card skimmer.
