Database compromise via unescaped popup title cookie
Published Oct 19, 2023 · Updated Sep 12, 2024
SQL injection in WebshopWorks Creative Popup 1.6.9 and earlier allows remote attackers to read and alter PrestaShop database data. The cp_download_popup() path reads the cpNewTitle cookie in helper.php and passes it unescaped into a creativepopup name update. Guest access is sufficient; successful injection can expose sensitive tables, delete data, change SMTP settings, or obtain administrator access.
