Weak pseudorandom generation in TianoCore EDK II edk2-stable202308 allows remote attackers to disclose data via predictable identifiers. NetworkPkg's NET_RANDOM macro applies a linear congruential generator to clock and monotonic-counter seeds, producing predictable DNS query and IPv4 identifiers. Exposure requires PXE or HTTP boot on an untrusted network; the published impact is limited to confidentiality loss.
