Type confusion in Siemens Tecnomatix Plant Simulation 2201 before 2201.0009 and 2302 before 2302.0003 allows remote attackers to execute code. The IGS parser fails to validate user-supplied data before interpreting objects as incompatible types, enabling code execution in the current process. Exploitation requires a user to visit a malicious page or open a malicious file, and the code inherits the current process's privileges.
