CVE-2023-45191Network attack vector

Unauthenticated credential compromise via inadequate account lockout

Published Feb 9, 2024 · Updated Nov 7, 2024

Improper account lockout in IBM Engineering Lifecycle Optimization - Publishing 7.0.2 and 7.0.3 allows remote attackers to brute-force credentials. The container-authentication path applies an inadequate account-lockout setting, so repeated password guesses are not restricted sufficiently. The web login is reachable without prior authentication, and a successful guess exposes data available to the compromised account.
