CVE-2023-45177Network attack vector

Queue manager crash via crafted cluster message

Published Mar 20, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Denial of service in IBM MQ 9.0 LTS, 9.1 LTS, 9.2 LTS, 9.3 LTS, and 9.3 CD allows remote authenticated users to crash a queue manager. A specially crafted message reaches defective MQ clustering logic and triggers SIGSEGV in the queue manager cluster repository process. Exploitation requires authenticated network access to an MQ cluster, and the process crash interrupts messaging availability.
