Drive data loss via caddy reinsertion race

Missing synchronization in SoftIron HyperCloud 1.0 through 2.0.2 allows physically proximate attackers to wipe drive data via caddy reinsertion. The storage-node media handling path can classify a removed and reinserted caddy as new media when no reboot occurs, then erase all data on the drives. Physical access to a density node and a no-reboot reinsertion sequence are required; the consequence is loss of data integrity and availability.
