Browser script execution via unsanitized admin settings
Published Oct 18, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored XSS in Michael Koch Mendeley Plugin 1.3.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through admin settings. The admin settings path stores values without sufficient input sanitization and later renders them without output escaping. Exploitation requires administrator-level access and a victim to view the injected page, and exposure is limited to multisite installations or sites with unfiltered_html disabled.
