LDAP credential theft via unvalidated server change
Published Sep 26, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
LDAP passback in miniOrange LDAP / Active Directory Integration 4.1.10 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to steal LDAP credentials. The LDAP server configuration accepts an attacker-controlled endpoint, and its connection test sends the stored bind credentials to that endpoint without sufficient validation. Administrative WordPress access is required, and the resulting disclosure is limited to the original LDAP server's stored credentials.
