Administrator stored XSS via unsanitized language setting
Published Sep 25, 2023 · Updated May 2, 2025
Stored XSS in Translate WordPress with GTranslate before 3.0.4 allows remote authenticated users to inject script into its settings page. The settings handler stores a crafted incl_langs[] value without sanitizing it and writes it into page script without output escaping. Administrator-level access is required, and the payload executes when the page reloads even where the unfiltered_html capability is disabled.
