Database compromise via unfiltered category parameter
Published Nov 2, 2023 · Updated Sep 5, 2024
SQL injection in category.php in Online Bus Booking System 1.0 allows remote attackers to alter database queries via category. The handler sends the category parameter to the database without validating or filtering its characters, allowing attacker-controlled SQL syntax to change the query. No account or user interaction is required, and resulting database access is bounded by the web application's database privileges.
