Traffic interception via unchecked download certificates

Improper certificate validation in HP ThinUpdate before 2.7.15 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to read or alter download traffic. Affected builds do not enforce server-certificate checking on every file download, allowing intercepted sessions to trust an unverified endpoint. Exploitation requires control of the utility's network path, and the resulting disclosure or modification is limited to intercepted download communications.
