Remote code execution via crafted plugin upload
Published Oct 3, 2023 · Updated Sep 23, 2024
Arbitrary file upload in Emlog Pro 2.2.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code through the plugin manager. The backend upload handler at /admin/plugin.php line 82 extracts a crafted plugin archive into content/plugins without rejecting executable PHP files. Access to the administrative plugin interface is required; successful exploitation installs attacker-controlled server-side code.
