Code execution via malicious template archive
Published Oct 3, 2023 · Updated Sep 20, 2024
Arbitrary file upload in Emlog Pro 2.2.0 allows attackers to execute PHP code through a malicious template archive. The backend template workflow extracts an archive containing a PHP file into the web-accessible content/templates directory without rejecting executable content. The published exploit path starts in the backend Appearance and Template interface, and requesting the extracted PHP file then executes its code on the server.
