Stored XSS via unencoded contact fields
Published Oct 4, 2023 · Updated Sep 5, 2024
Stored XSS in EFS Software Easy Address Book Web Server 1.6 allows remote attackers to run JavaScript through crafted contact fields. The /addrbook.ghp handler stores ten POSTed contact parameters without sufficient encoding and later inserts their values into generated HTML. No authentication is required, but a user must load the affected address-book page, after which the script runs in that user's browser context.
