CVE-2023-44834Network attack vector

Unauthenticated service interruption via oversized StartTime

Published Oct 5, 2023 · Updated Sep 19, 2024

Buffer overflow in D-Link DIR-823G firmware 1.0.2B05 allows remote attackers to interrupt router service via a crafted StartTime value. The SetParentsControlInfo function processes the attacker-controlled value without verifying that it fits the destination buffer. The network request requires no authentication or user interaction, and no data disclosure or modification is reported.
