Service interruption via unchecked EndTime copy
Published Oct 5, 2023 · Updated Sep 19, 2024
Buffer overflow in D-Link DIR-823G 1.0.2b05 allows remote attackers to interrupt router service via a crafted EndTime value. SetParentsControlInfo copies the attacker-controlled EndTime parameter into a fixed-size buffer without checking its length. The management request requires no authentication or user interaction, and the documented consequence is limited to service availability.
