Stack overflow in the cancelPing handler in D-Link DIR-820L 1.05B03 allows remote attackers to corrupt memory via a crafted request. The web interface dispatches a request whose ccp_act value is cancelPing to the ping-tool branch, where attacker-controlled data overruns a stack buffer. No authentication or user interaction is required; public evidence establishes remotely reachable memory corruption but not reliable code execution.
