Authenticated file read and write via traversal
Published Sep 5, 2023 · Updated Sep 26, 2024
Path traversal in PHPFusion 9.10.30 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read files and write validated file types. The Fusion File Manager's outdated dependency accepts traversal sequences in crafted HTTP requests and resolves known absolute paths outside the intended directory. Administrator or Super Administrator access is required; reads inherit the web process's permissions, while writes remain limited by MIME-type and extension validation.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
