Authenticated JavaScript execution via unsanitized spare alias
Published Oct 6, 2023 · Updated Sep 19, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Zenario CMS 9.4.59197 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run JavaScript through a spare alias. The Organizer's Spare alias field accepts an attribute-breaking payload and returns it in a page without neutralizing script-capable markup. Creating the alias requires panel access, and execution requires another user to open the affected Organizer page, exposing that user's in-origin data and actions.
