CVE-2023-4468Public exploit

Physical privilege escalation via exposed cloud registration code

Published Dec 29, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Missing authorization in Plantronics Poly Trio 8500, Trio 8800, and Trio C60 allows physically proximate attackers to gain administrative access. The Cloud Status screen reveals the six-character Lens registration code without requiring the administrator PIN, allowing an unregistered device to be claimed by an attacker's Lens account. The device must be unregistered, connected to Poly servers, and physically accessible; successful enrollment exposes Lens controls for calls, proxies, and SIP servers.
