CVE-2023-4466Network attack vector

Code execution via unrestricted firmware rollback

Published Dec 29, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Missing anti-rollback protection in Plantronics Poly CCX and Trio phone firmware allows remote authenticated users to install older releases. The on-device and Poly Lens update interfaces accept older firmware without enforcing a minimum version or rollback barrier. Administrative access to either interface is required, and a downgrade can restore previously patched flaws, including diagnostic Telnet command injection.
