CVE-2023-4462Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Administrator session hijacking via predictable time-based tokens

Published Dec 29, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Session prediction in Poly UC Software devices allows remote attackers to hijack an active administrator web session over the network. The web configuration application derives session tokens deterministically from Unix time in seconds, producing only one token value each second. The web server must be enabled and an administrator must be logged in; successful reuse grants access to privileged configuration, control, and device data.
