CVE-2023-44483Network attack vector

Private key disclosure via debug logging

Published Oct 20, 2023 · Updated Nov 3, 2025

Apache Santuario before 2.2.6, 2.3.4, or 3.0.3 allows remote authenticated users to obtain private keys via debug logs. The JSR 105 signing path writes private-key material into debug-level log output while generating XML signatures. Exploitation requires debug logging to be enabled and access to the resulting logs, causing confidentiality loss without reported integrity or availability effects.
