Admin settings changes via missing CSRF check
Published Oct 9, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Michael Tran Table of Contents Plus 2302 and earlier allows remote attackers to alter plugin settings. The settings update handler accepts state-changing requests without verifying a CSRF token, so forged requests execute in the administrator’s active session. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to visit attacker-controlled content, and the bounded consequence is unauthorized plugin configuration changes.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
