Database data access via unsanitized category id
Published Aug 21, 2023 · Updated Nov 21, 2024
SQL injection in OpenRapid RapidCMS 1.3.1 allows attackers to read or alter database data through a crafted category id parameter. The category.php component passes the attacker-controlled id into an SQL operation without neutralizing SQL syntax, allowing the database to interpret injected clauses. Public records disagree on whether access is unauthenticated and network-reachable or requires low privileges from an adjacent network, so exposure depends on deployment.
