Information disclosure via unchecked PDF buffer read
Published May 3, 2024 · Updated Sep 18, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Tungsten Automation Power PDF 5.0.0.57 allows attackers to disclose process memory via a crafted PDF file. The PDF parser fails to validate user-supplied data before reading it, permitting a read past the end of an allocated buffer. Exploitation requires a user to visit a malicious page or open the file; the standalone flaw discloses sensitive memory, while code execution requires chaining with another vulnerability.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
